Nazanin Vaziri is an Iranian artist, calligrapher, and designer whose work lives at the intersection of poetry, memory, and identity. Drawing from the depth of Persian visual culture, she blends traditional calligraphy with contemporary painting to create pieces rooted in movement, emotion, and layered meaning.
Her work often weaves together fine calligraphic lines, waves of color, and text that appears to shift, repeat, and dissolve—echoing themes of journey, transformation, and the fluidity of belonging. After moving to New York, the experience of migration and navigating between cultures became a central element of her artistic language, shaping a visual world that moves between past and present, illusion and reality.
Nazanin frequently incorporates verses from poets such as Nizami, Rumi, and Khayyam, reinterpreting them through modern forms and textures. Her paintings invite viewers to slow down, look closer, and discover the hidden layers within each piece—a visual narrative of beauty, transition, and the human presence suspended between two worlds.
